The Opportunity:
We are seeking two relationship-driven performance-oriented Sponsorships Managers to join our Sponsorships team. You will own creator relationships end-to-end from deal pitch and negotiations to content creation campaign delivery and performance analysis; ensuring every sponsorship drives real subscriber growth for Ground News.
This role sits at the intersection of sales marketing content and operations. You are not just closing deals you are building genuine partnerships with creators understanding what makes their audience tick and ensuring every campaign delivers on its promise. The right person is a marketer at heart with a closers instinct: someone who builds trust with creators and then uses that trust to get deals done.
The ideal candidate understands the creator economy from the inside. Youd know what makes a sponsorship convert on YouTube Instagram TikTok or a podcast; not just in theory but because youve lived it. You think in terms of audience fit and conversion not just reach and impressions.
What Youll Do:
Creator Partnerships & Negotiation:
Build and manage relationships with creators agencies and their representatives across YouTube Instagram TikTok Podcasts and Newsletters.
Lead deal negotiations (pricing terms and contracts) balancing Ground Newss performance targets with creator expectations.
Evaluate creators on audience quality engagement authenticity and fit with Ground Newss mission.
Make confident go/no-go calls and drive deals to close: you know when to push when to hold on price and how to create urgency without burning the relationship.
Campaign Execution & Content:
Own campaign delivery from signed contract through post-launch review: briefs timelines approvals and follow-through.
Develop tailored creator briefs that give clear performance direction while preserving the creators authentic voice.
Coordinate with internal content and analytics teams to ensure campaigns are on-brand and set up to perform.
Performance & Analysis:
Track and report on campaign performance (impressions clicks installs subscriptions and ROAS) and translate data into actionable recommendations.
Identify whats working and what isnt across your portfolio and bring a hypothesis before escalating to leadership.
Work with the analytics team to build better reporting practices and continuously improve conversion across the creator funnel.
Optimization & Growth:
Identify opportunities to expand relationships with high-performing creators into longer-term or multi-platform partnerships.
Stay close to platform trends and creator dynamics so your strategy reflects how audiences actually consume content today.
Contribute to building playbooks and processes that make the team more efficient as we scale.
What Youll Bring:
3 years of experience in influencer marketing creator partnerships or digital marketing with hands-on experience managing campaigns end-to-end.
Youre naturally commercial. You enjoy the deal-making side of this work. This isnt a pure account management role; you need to be able to drive outcomes.
Genuine familiarity with how YouTube Instagram TikTok podcasts or newsletters work from a creator and audience perspective.
Data-driven mindset: you use metrics like ROAS CPM and conversion rates to evaluate performance and inform decisions.
Comfortable with negotiation: you know how to navigate pricing conversations counter offers and structure deals that work for both sides.
Highly organized and able to manage multiple campaigns and creator relationships.
Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information.
Bonus Points:
Experience working in-house at a direct-to-consumer brand running creator or influencer programs.
Background in performance marketing subscription products or audience growth: you understand what it takes to convert awareness into paying subscribers
Proven ability to learn new platforms and creator ecosystems quickly and develop a genuine point of view on what works.
Interest in media politics or media literacy. You genuinely care about what Ground News is building.

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $70000-$95000 (CAD) plus competitive bonus and incentives. Your final offer will take into account various factors including your skills experience qualifications and internal parity.
