We are seeking a Specialist Commodity Market Risk to lead support and perform daily market risk reporting and analytics across North American commodity trading activities including Crude Oil & NGLs Natural Gas and this role you will provide timely and accurate risk reporting analyze daily changes in Mark-to-Market (MTM) Value-at-Risk (VaR) and open positions while ensuring compliance with risk policies and controls.

What You Will Do:
Lead daily market risk analysis monitoring and reporting activities including MTM VaR open positions valuation controls and management commentary for North American commodity trading portfolios.
Partner with Enterprise Risk Trading Scheduling Accounting MRM (IT) Credit Legal and Trade Compliance teams to support effective risk management across the transaction lifecycle.
Drive the development and delivery of Power BI risk reporting solutions enhancing data visualization automation and reporting efficiency through enterprise data sources and SQL-based analytics.
Maintain and troubleshoot risk models VaR calculations P&L decomposition processes and ETRM risk reporting workflows to ensure accurate market risk measurement.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Openlink/Endur risk systems supporting deal modeling valuation processes issue resolution testing and operational improvements.
Evaluate new business strategies identify emerging market risks monitor policy compliance and provide clear communication of quantitative risk concepts to business stakeholders.
Lead operational improvement initiatives support monthly Risk-to-Accounting reconciliations maintain SOX compliance documentation and provide informal leadership and mentorship across the team.
Accountable for annual Policy training with stakeholders & provide ad-hoc assistance throughout each business year with front office & other support functions on various topics.
Who You Are:
University degree in Finance Economics Applied Sciences or a related discipline with 7 years of market risk management experience in power natural gas crude oil or NGL markets.
Strong expertise in commodity market risk controls including MTM valuation VaR position monitoring risk limits stress testing and portfolio risk analysis.
Proven experience with Openlink/Endur or comparable Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems including transaction lifecycle troubleshooting and risk reporting.
Advanced analytical and quantitative skills demonstrating proficiency in interpreting complex financial models and conveying findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience developing data visualizations dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI SQL and other business intelligence tools.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities with demonstrated success working across front-office risk finance compliance and technology teams.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate intricate financial frameworks risk concepts and analytical findings into actionable insights for operational and business collaborators.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment while developing risk metrics and controls analyzing large market data sets and creating impactful visualizations that support decision-making and new business initiatives.
Professional designation such as CFA FRM ERP MBA or equivalent is considered an asset; experience with Python options markets SharePoint workflows and ETRM testing is also preferred.
