Job Summary
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
To manage the movement of products supplies and equipment to and from John Crane Canada- Edmonton branch.
SPECIFIC DUTIES ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Handles all materials through the department which includes loading unloading packaging unpacking counting and issuing the proper paper work or online entries for inventory and transportation.
- Operates gas or electric for lift trucks hoists hand tools and other equipment to load and unload trucks.
- Processes incoming material and writing the receiving tickets for all inventory items supplies and equipment received.
- Records location for holding and storage of material awaiting inspection and pick up.
- Prepares products for transportation by rating palletizing and using appropriate protective materials.
- Weighs and meters shipments for transportation (labels adds postage records weights and units prepares bills of lading and air bills.)
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications :
- High school degree.
- College diploma preferred.
- Computer skills a must in Microsoft Office SAP AS400.
- 1-3 years of related experience in international shipping a big plus.
- Forklift/ lift truck experience and a valid drivers license.
- Lifting up to 35 pounds for short distances.
- Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives changing priorities and reassign priorities to complete assignments.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
