The Role
As aSenior DevOps Developerin GMs Virtualization andSoftwareintheLoop(SIL) Integration group you will build automation pipelines andcloudnativesystems that accelerate developer velocity and enablelargescalevirtual validation. WhatYoullDo (Responsibilities)
Design andmaintainCI/CD pipelinesfor virtual ECUs embedded software and simulation artifacts.
Automate build test and packaging workflowsacross C Python MATLAB/Simulink andmodelbasedtoolchains.
Operate containerized simulation environmentsusing Docker and Kubernetes.
ImplementGitOpsworkflowsformulticlusterconsistency and reliability.
Optimizedeveloper velocitythrough caching artifact reuse and workflow simplification.
Integrate observabilityinto pipelines for traceability metrics and debugging.
Collaborate with embedded simulation and controls teamsto align delivery withmodelbaseddevelopment workflows.
SupportcloudbasedSIL executionforlargescaleparallel simulation.
Your Skills & Abilities (Qualifications)
Bachelors orMasters degree in Engineering Computer Science or related field.
7 years of relevant experiencein DevOps CI/CD automation or software development.
HandsonCI/CD experiencewith GitHub Actions Jenkins GitLab or Azure DevOps.
Strong scripting skills(Python Bash PowerShell).
Experience with containersand Kubernetes fundamentals.
Familiarity with embedded ormodelbaseddevelopment(MATLAB/Simulink code generationvECUs).
Understanding ofcloud platforms(AWS Azure or GCP).
Knowledge of deployment strategiesand release automation.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with SIL/HIL pipelinesandcosimulationframeworks.
Terraform orIaCexpertiseformultienvironmentprovisioning.
Knowledge of automotive data flowsacrossvehicle local andcloud.
Experience with progressive delivery(canarybluegreen).
Understanding of secure supplychain(SLSA OPASigstore).
Familiarity with virtualization platformsused forvECUsand simulation
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $115000 to $164600. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
