We are seeking aSenior Developerto joinone ofourproductteam. Reporting to theAssociate Director of Engineeringthe team isdedicatedto product development and the ongoing enhancement of features within our SaaS application.

As a senior member of the teamyour critical thinking and solution-oriented approachcontinually support the success of the team.Senior Developers play a key role in scoping their teams technical work using their knowledge to ensureit isproperly sequenced designed and implemented.

• Design code test and debug complex software witha high levelof quality sitting as a full-time member of a feature development team.
• Provide technical leadership for yourteam andassistin improving your colleagues skills through code reviews technical mentoring role-modelling coaching and knowledge-sharing.
• Lead technical innovation in the areas of component re-use extensibility maintainability and scalability.
• Monitor your applications in production and proactively identify and fix issues clients are encountering.
• Contribute to defining and implementing the product-wide technical roadmap ensuring the success of technical cross-team initiatives and responsible adoption of new technologies that are aligned with industry trends.
• In the future participate in an on-call rotation (that respects your time) to support your teams software.
• Identify gaps in product requirements and work with Product Owners to design features that meet client needs
• Plan implement and execute end to end automated tests that validate good quality results. Evolve AlayaCares testing practices.
• Help team members understand core concepts and tools of their craft.
• Anticipate problems recognize barriers and proactively raise concerns to management and to senior members of the technical organization.
• Mentorship some Developers in the team

What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelors or advanced degree in computer science mathematics or related fields.
• 4 years of hands-on experience with data software development.
• Extensive development experience with Python and unit testing using PyTest.
• Some experience with Reactand JavaScript (preferably Vue) along with their respective unit testing frameworks.
• Experience using SQL databases Git CI/CD tools Docker SQLAlchemy cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred).
• Strong knowledge of AI-assisted development practices combined with a proactive approach to keeping pace with advancements
• Awareness of current industry trends in technology performance and software development tools and practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bilingual in French and English considered an asset.

This role is based in Montreal. AtAlayaCare our hybrid model includes 2 set in-office collaboration days/week and it is expected that team members are present in the office on those days to foster connection innovation and teamwork.
