We are seeking a strategic Senior Benefits Manager to serve as our internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design and governance of our global health disability wellness pension/retirement and time off/leaves this role you will serve as an enterprise expert to plan and deliver the companys benefits program for North America Europe and APAC ensuring integrity and consistency in how its various components are applied worldwide.The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of guiding senior stakeholders resolving highly complex benefits matters and advancing initiatives that improve the employee experience compliance cost-effectiveness and global program consistency. You have experience negotiating multiple annual benefit renewals and open enrollments and the proven ability to manage projects effectively from planning to execution. You have excellent global vendor relationships management ensuring our third-party providers deliver exceptional service. You will also partner closely with HR Payroll Finance Legal and other internal stakeholders.
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Architect an optimized global benefits program strategy governance framework governance planning and program delivery of global employee benefits programs including annual benefit reviews renewals and program re-design initiatives.
Lead complex market assessments around utilization cost participation and demographic data to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making
Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Finance Legal and senior leadership by developing presentations and recommendations on new benefit plans new markets or overall enhancements to program design policy strategy and technology and their subsequent implementation
Ensure compliance with applicable legislation regulations and reporting requirements across all jurisdictions including ACA filing 401(k) annual audit 5500 filing FMLA etc. and monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts to benefits and retirement programs as required
Establish the vendor strategy and service performance levels for third-party vendors and partners; resolve service issues negotiate contract and performance improvements and ensure documentation and controls remain current
Direct the development and delivery of benefits communication and education strategies to improve employee understanding and engagement
Knowledge and Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in related field with 12 years of relevant work experience or Masters Degree with 10 years of experience
Demonstrated experience management of Canadian and US benefits and retirement plans. Working knowledge of other global regions benefits and retirement plans including program design and delivery is a plus
High degree of autonomy with an ability to manage multiple priorities
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex benefits data and translate it into clear compelling presentations for stakeholders at various levels
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships across HR Finance and Senior Leadership teams

The annual salary for this job ranges from:
$122600.00 - $183800.00STEMCELL determines an individuals pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience education job-related skills and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company addition to base salary STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits retirement savings and more.
