• Prepare and post monthly journal entries to support timely and accurate general ledger close processes.

• Record transactional activities including treasury/finance corporate operating and administrative expenses.

• Perform monthly G/L account reconciliations and ensure completeness and accuracy.

• Conduct variance analysis of corporate results and provide insights to stakeholders.

• Support preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting and internal analysis for Corporate functions.

• Respond to ad hoc queries and provide analysis to support financial reporting and decision-making.

• Work closely with the Supervisor Manager and other extended team members in finding opportunities for improvement in execution to increase timeliness and efficiency.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and find opportunities to improve processes efficiency and reporting timelines.

• Provide hands on assistance to the internal and external auditors including the collection and analysis of financial information and supporting documents requested by the auditors.

• University degree in Commerce Business or a related field; CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.

• 2 years of experience in accounting finance or a related field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with systems such as Oracle Financials Hyperion SmartView or Essbase is an asset.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control principles.

• Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills combined with a goal-focused business approach.

• Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

• Office-based environment with a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

• Tight reporting timelines during financial close cycles.

• Flexibility required including occasional overtime during peak periods.
