Sanitation Supervisor

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Production Managers with a full range of custodial and Health and Safety related duties in the Central Operations. The performance of the duties must ensure a quality service approach to all employees customers and suppliers. All responsibilities must be performed in a manner consistent with the Farm Boy Way.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supervision of Sanitation Workers and coordinating daily tasks for the team.
• Ensure that all daily and weekly checklist have been completed by the Production Workers.
• Responsible for providing assistance to the Production Managers to ensure that Production Workers are following all food safety and health and safety policies and procedures.
• Responsible for conducting pre-operational check with external sanitation company prior to allowing production workers into the production areas.
• Ensure that all work and storage areas are clean and safe at all times.
• Responsible for conducting monthly Health & Safety inspections.
• Responsible for attending bi-weekly Food Safety Meetings.
• Responsible for the maintenance of all sanitation equipment and ensure that equipment is in good working order. 
• Responsible for maintaining room temperature and knife sanitizer temperature logs.
• May be requested to undertake other related duties on a periodic basis.

Qualifications :

• Typically requires a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible experience in a similar role.
• Superior standards of cleanliness.
• Superior time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment with clear and effective communication style both written and oral.
• Good physical fitness.
• Flexible schedule including weekends evenings and holidays.
• Fluency in both official languages shall be considered an asset.

Work & Sensory Environment:

• Unavoidable exposure to dangerous or unpleasant environmental elements such as noise dirt dust vibration and extreme temperatures.
• Providing service to several people or departments working under many simultaneous deadlines.
• May be required to wear cumbersome protective clothing or equipment.
• Required to lift carry or handle heavy objects.
