What Youll Do:
ONxpressis looking for a Safety Trainer tofacilitatedifferent training sessions (virtually and in-person) across the project. The Safety Trainer ensures that safety training is deliveredwiththe highest quality and engagement manner.
Promotes a culture of safety quality team participation and motivation in all aspects of training.
Interfaces with construction and tooling staff to address training requirements and determineappropriate methodsof delivery.
Supports resolution of document revisions with the trainers andseriesleads.
Assistsin the development of training material including lesson plans practical evaluations and written exams.
Participates inseriestraining review meetings to document training related lessons learned andidentifypotentialsubsequenttraining developments.
Identifiesany gaps withHSS(Health Safety and Security) and Human Performance training requirements to successfully educate skilled trades in the operation of the refurbishment toolset.
Collaborateswith operations and implementation leads to ensure training programs will meet project needs.
Usesavailable metrics and analysis toidentifyand drive a continuous improvement training strategy.
Supportsidentifyingtechnical training requirements and creating material to successfully educate project team members to perform their assigned tasks safely
efficiently and effectively.
Is open to supporting other initiatives and activities asrequired
What You Bring:
Post-secondary education in Health & Safety Construction orrelatedfield.
5 years of construction experience.
Health and Safety certifications and accreditations ( Working at Heights Train the Trainer programs JointHealthand Safety Committee) is an asset
A comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation including but not limited to the Occupational Health and Safety Act Canadian Standards Association the CanadaLabourCode and other applicable Health and Safety regulations
Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong computer and systems skills
Expected compensation for this role is between$80000-$100000annually. Base salaries aredeterminedaccording to multiple factors including skillsexperienceand potential impact on the role.
