Evidence-based assessment and treatment services for clients who have sustained a variety of injuries and conditions usually with a goal of assisting them to return to work.
Implement monitor and progress exercise and work simulation programs.
Management of resources scheduling clients tracking attendance ensuring report timeliness and communicating with various stakeholders (insurance company employer physician etc) in conjunction with the team Physiotherapist
Develop structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
Monitor the GRTW plan to facilitate a successful outcome.
Work with clients referred by ICBC
Provide personal training and individualized kinesiology services
Mentoring and training will be provided. The Kinesiologist will work at times independently and at other times will work on a team that includes Physical Therapists Occupational Therapists Counselors and Administrative Staff. Our goal is to assist clients to return to work and improve their quality of life.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and/or experience in evidence based orthopaedic concussion neurological or mental health practice with a strong emphasis on active rehabilitation.
Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability
Education:
Minimum Bachelors degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent degree.
Memberships & Associations:
Registration with BCAK required.
