Registered Kinesiologist

POSITION: REGISTERED KINESIOLOGIST

LOCATION: ABBOTSFORD

SCHEDULE: PART TIME or FULL-TIME

STATUS: CONTRACTOR OR EMPLOYEE STATUS

SALARY: EMPLOYEE: $26-32/HOUR CONTRACTOR: FEE SPLIT

Clinical duties include:

• Evidence-based assessment and treatment services for clients who have sustained a variety of injuries and conditions usually with a goal of assisting them to return to work.
• Implement monitor and progress exercise and work simulation programs.
• Management of resources scheduling clients tracking attendance ensuring report timeliness and communicating with various stakeholders (insurance company employer physician etc) in conjunction with the team Physiotherapist
• Develop structured Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
• Monitor the GRTW plan to facilitate a successful outcome.
• Work with clients referred by ICBC
• Provide personal training and individualized kinesiology services
• Mentoring and training will be provided. The Kinesiologist will work at times independently and at other times will work on a team that includes Physical Therapists Occupational Therapists Counselors and Administrative Staff. Our goal is to assist clients to return to work and improve their quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge and/or experience in evidence based orthopaedic concussion neurological or mental health practice with a strong emphasis on active rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of psycho-social aspects of disability

Education:

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics or equivalent degree.

Memberships & Associations:

• Registration with BCAK required.
