A manufacturing company in Aurora Ontario is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead plant floor operations within a high-volume plastics/packaging environment. The successful candidate will oversee production activities drive operational performance and ensure safety quality and productivity targets are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily production operations during assigned shift
Ensure production schedules and operational targets are achieved
Coordinate mold changeovers machine startups and line readiness
Monitor production performance including downtime scrap and efficiency metrics
Enforce plant safety standards GMP and SOP compliance
Lead coach and support production associates and team leads
Manage staffing and shift coverage requirements
Troubleshoot production process and equipment issues
Collaborate with Quality and Maintenance teams to resolve operational issues
Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate shift reports ERP entries and production documentation
Ensure effective communication between shifts
Qualifications
2 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience leading production teams in a plant setting
Strong understanding of production operations and workflow management
Ability to monitor production KPIs and team performance
Strong leadership communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in plastic injection molding environments
Hands-on experience with mold setup changeovers and troubleshooting
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Experience using ERP systems in manufacturing
Exposure to automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments
Forklift or crane certification considered an asset
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
