We are searching for a Pastry Cook to join our PARKLAND AT THE COMMON team based in HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA.

About the Opportunity

• Preparing baked goods and desserts according to established standards procedure recipes and menus

• Receiving storing and rotating inventory of all required foods and supplies

• Maintaining safety and sanitation in the kitchen to meet legislative and organizational standards

• All other duties as assigned/required

About You

In addition to placing high value on continuous improvementcollaborationand accountability you bring:

• A high-school diploma or GED completion

• Red Seal Bakers papers from a certified instituiton considered an asset

• Minimum three (3)years experiencein a high-volume bakery or kitchen

• Ability to work a schedule which includes nights and holidays

• Successful candidates willbe requiredto obtain aclear Criminal Record Check andwhere applicable a Vulnerable Sector Check prior to appointment.

• Current First Aid & CPR is an asset

• Previousexperience working with seniors in a retirement living or long-term care environment is considered an asset
