The Opportunity

The Corrugated Structural Design Manager reports to the Director of Sales Operations is responsible for enhance the work environment and leading the corrugated design team to be Best in Class creation innovation and application of corrugated design elements and packaging solutions. Ensure the design team is an integral part of our growth by design strategy by having the end in mind as it concerns our clients which directly impact customer experience. Collaborate with designers graphic artists customer service estimating sales and production teams. Support and interact with clients to refine designs and troubleshoot issues.

What youll do

Design Leadership:

• Leading thestructuraldesignteam andprocess from concept to completion providing technical direction and guidance to designers(Corrugated Packaging Specialist)as needed
• Employee engagement scores aregood but could be better. This is highly dynamic team withahigh levelof creativityand commitment in need of a leader who can help them level up

Client Interaction:

• CollaboratewithSales and theirclients to understand their needs presenthigh leveldesign proposals and addressing any concerns or feedback

Team Management:

• Supervising and mentoring a team of designers fostering their professional development and ensuring they have the resources to succeed

Technical Expertise:

• Familiarity with trends in corrugated packaging design including sustainability e-commerce solutions and digital printing technologies
• Ability to bridging the gap between creative design and practical production ensuring that innovative and effective packaging solutions are delivered to clients

Quality Assurance:

• Ensuring that all designs meet quality standardscomply withrelevant regulations and align with client specifications
• Review Notice of Disputes (NODs nonconformances); drive to true root cause to ensure corrective actions plans are implemented and trained to all staff to eliminate common or new issues

What youll bring

• Post secondary required aâbachelors degree is preferred; lean toward packaging and printing technology or other structural engineering for packaging
• 6 years of experience indesignmanagement management experienceprimarily in adynamic high pace environment
• Exceptional leadershipcritical thinking andpatience areskillsessential for managing both employees and customers
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple ongoing situations attention to detail and accuracy
• Strongskills in professionalism and diplomacy
• Strong understanding of specifications tooling workflows andcost controls
• Proven success leading teams throughtechnical understanding / learningprocess change and improvement initiatives
• Excellent verbal and written communication to liaise withcustomers tool / dievendors machine vendorsandinternal departments
• Customerexperiencefocused;dedicated to delivering consistent high-quality support tailored to customer and account-specific needs
• Data analysis; analyzing data toidentifytrends and areas for improvement includes analyzing options including impact and feasibility
• Proven ability toidentifyand resolve design and production issues ensuringtimelyand efficient project completion
• Technical proficiency in: Artios CAD Adobe Suite of Products Esko and Esko WorkflowKongsbergor other cutting table experience
• Microsoft Excell WordPowerPointand other Office 365daily tool applications.
• Power BI and Power Automate is a plus
• Other Office 365 tools and AI apps a plus

Hiring Range : $90000 to $110000 per year. A candidates experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

Required Experience:

Manager
