Job Description:

The Saskatchewan Medical Association (SMA) serves as a voluntary professional body representing physicians across Saskatchewan with membership comprising over 90 percent of the provinces physicians. The SMA also offers membership for medical students and residents undertaking their training within Saskatchewan.

As the unified voice of the medical profession in the province the SMA advocates on behalf of its members and engages in negotiations for physicians operating under fee-for-service salaried and alternative payment models.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Manager Non-Fee-For-Service (NFFS) Contracts to join our growing team!

This position provides strategic leadership for the services SMA provides to physicians under Non-Fee-For-Service (NFFS) salary and contractual arrangements by: providing expert advice to members on physician service contracts supporting members with the resolution of contractual disputes involving external employers or contracting agencies co-leading NFFS contract negotiations in partnership with physician leadership on behalf of the SMA and collaborating with key partners across the health system to strengthen NFFS compensation frameworks in Saskatchewan.

This position is based on-site at our office in Saskatoon SK with a voluntary hybrid work option allowing remote work from home up to 2 out of 5 days per week subject to approval under our Hybrid Work Arrangement policy.

Education

• A bachelors degree in human resources business administration public administration or a related discipline and 5 years relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. A postgraduate degree (Masters) is an asset.

• 5 years of progressive leadership and team management experience.

• Healthcare or public sector experience is an asset.
