Performs the clerical and administrative tasks associated with the shipments and inventory of products including report writing record keeping and a variety of other activities to ensure that shipping has support.
Shift:
Day: 7am - 3:30 pm - Monday - Friday
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and integrity within our facility. This role operates on a Day shift basis (Subject to change based on business need) and plays a crucial part in our daily operations with a primary focus on SAP transactions related to our Production Scheduling process for Semi-finished goods. The Inventory Controller will work closely with logistics production and quality teams to ensure seamless inventory flow and control.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP:
Generate/Post Production of batch meal and kibble using PI Sheets (BM/EX)
Process scrap and regrind materials.
Manage BM/EX Process Orders and Create POs for Schedule and equipment exceptions (unplanned production or machine changes).
Investigate/ escalate large inventory variances of batch meal and kibble (BM/EX).
Monitor and resolve Consumption errors (COGIs).
Ensure compliance with cycle count inventory execution and generate PI count sheets.
Maintain stock balance between SAP and Blue Yonder.
Inventory and Cycle Counting:
Conduct daily weekly and monthly cycle counts including physical yard audits Red Zone Mill Dry Packaging and COEX counts.
Perform daily reviews of inventory and check Raw and Pack materials in SAP.
Validate batch data in SAP before transactions.
Follow up on large inventory transactions and process confirmations.
Daily Operations & Reporting:
Participate in daily logistics huddles and production reviews.
Check and update the daily plant status in SAP.
Communicate with Mill and Red Zone Operators.
Participate in periodic blocked stock review meetings.
Quality & Waste Management:
Coordinate quality hold status verifications and sample requests.
Organize the disposal of liquid waste and serve as a point of contact for waste management vendors.
Assist with annual waste audits.
Yard and Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct yard audits to action idle trailers and manage held materials.
Coordinate with vendors for equipment maintenance including slurry tank repairs tank cleaning and rail car service.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in an inventory control or a similar role.
Strong understanding of inventory management principles.
Experience with ERP systems is required; proficiency in SAP is highly desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness and ability to work 8-hour rotating shifts including days and nights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of inventory control principles
Experience working with vendors and carriers
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP and WMS systems such as Red Prairie
3 years of manufacturing or warehousing experience
2years of work experience within a technical and/or trade discipline
