Job Summary
Interior Design Technician
Full-Time Hybrid Oakville ON
David Small Designs is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Design Technician to join our team in a full-time hybrid role based in Oakville Ontario.
We are looking for someone with a strong technical background in residential construction and detailing who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment and takes pride in producing accurate high-quality drawing packages.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed drawing packages and revisions with speed and accuracy
- Produce millwork detailing and coordination drawings
- Assist with interior architectural detailing and technical documentation
- Coordinate closely with Interior Designers and Architectural teams
- Manage drawing revisions and updates efficiently across multiple projects
- Maintain organized project files and documentation throughout all project phases
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience (excluding co-op placements)
- Strong technical understanding of residential construction and detailing
- Experience with custom residential projects preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
Software Requirements
- AutoCAD (required)
- SketchUp experience considered an asset
