This position will lead and co-ordinate traffic and right-of-way management environmental initiatives and procurement. This position provides general enineering input and support for senior staff and backs up staff for all functions within the Transportation and Development dutiesLeading co-ordinating and providing support for other Infrastructure Services staff by doing on-site construction inspection of Town development construction and maintenance projects; monitoring and maintaining traffic control; managing and carrying out the collection of traffic data including volume rate of speed classification; and reviewing and approving permitting including:Municipal review forms for building entrance permit Occupancy Permits (excavation permits) and utility locations Alteration Permits (topsoil removal applications) and Driveway Widening -ordinating community and construction road closure events including the preparation of plans for annual festivals parades construction projects and other applications as required by policies of -ordinating and assisting with engineering review of development applications site plans subdivisions and zoning applications; undertaking AutoCAD drafting; supervising maintenance by outside contractors and utility companies and acting as liaison for the Towns capital works projects; leading and developing environmental initiatives along with the Senior Climate and Sustainability Specialist; leading and managing environmental monitoring of landfill site and monitoring projects; and administering and monitoring water supply and sewage allocation by keeping records of available capacity and allocation and/or co-ordinating with the development and maintenance of the Departments database; leading and/or co-ordinating with other staff with the preparation of tenders reports estimates and other presentation materials; leading and/or co-ordinating the data collection and management for various activities including but not limited to sewage overstrength agreements water meter and consumption; developing and leading the Public Utilities Co-ordinating Committee for the purpose of co-ordinating external work with planned municipal work; and leading and/or assisting with sustainability and environmental leading and/or assisting other staff with the management and co-ordination of construction plan/review and maintenance work; and cross training with other staff so that team members can fill in for one another during the Division manager and senior staff with the preparation of annual capital and operating budgets including construction estimates vehicle and equipment estimates and other services as duties as in Civil Engineering Technology or related with the Ontario Association of Civil Engineering Technicians and Technologists as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET).Minimum five (5) years of engineering experience specifically in development construction review engineering design including the inspections operation maintenance and review of municipal roads and/or water supply treatment and distribution systems and/or wastewater collection and treatment with Traffic Management Transportation Environmental and studies in support of development Class G candidates will be required to complete a background check including but not limited to a Criminal Record Check in accordance with the duties of this range: $98332.78 to $115035.47 Band 11 on the Towns 2026 pay grid plus a comprehensive benefits packageQualified candidates are invited to apply no later than 4 p.m. on June 3 2026.
