Position: Indigenous Compliance Coordinator
Pay Rate: $ 50.00 to 70.00 per hour
Contract Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Work Location: Calgary AB

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Indigenous Compliance Coordinator to support our client a global leader in engineering procurement and construction services for energy and large-scale industrial projects.
The Indigenous Compliance Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that project proposals align with Indigenous engagement and contracting requirements. This position is responsible for assessing the commitment of proposal companies to engage and contract services from Indigenous businesses as mandated by project and regulatory guidelines. The role ensures that all proposals meet established standards and procedures for meaningful Indigenous participation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review all exhibits and documentation submitted by bidders as part of their proposals.
Evaluate compliance and commitment to Indigenous business engagement according to established internal procedures and criteria.
Prepare clear and objective reports summarizing evaluation results.
Present findings and recommendations to the Contracting Lead to support informed decision-making.
Ensure adherence to corporate policies and applicable regulations regarding Indigenous participation.
Maintain effective communication with the contracting team and relevant stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
University degree preferred (not mandatory) ideally in construction engineering project management or related fields.
Minimum of 5 years in a similar role involving compliance review contracting or supplier engagement.
Understanding of regulations and corporate policies regarding Indigenous participation in projects.
Familiarity with industrial construction or energy projects in Alberta or British Columbia.
Ability to interpret contractual and technical documentation.
Integrity and commitment to transparency in evaluation processes; demonstrated seniority and ability to interact effectively with contracting and leadership teams.
Strong analytical abilities attention to detail and capacity to follow established procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
