Prosperity Workforce Solutions is partnering with a respected Alberta-based organization to recruit an experienced Human Resources Generalist.

Youll work closely with operational leaders to support employees across both office and field environments while helping shape HR programs that drive engagement performance and organizational growth.

What Youll Be Doing

Strategic HR Partnership

  • Partner with leaders to provide practical HR guidance and coaching.
  • Support workforce planning organizational design succession planning and talent development.
  • Help lead organizational change initiatives and support business growth.
  • Analyze workforce metrics to identify trends and opportunities.

Employee Relations & Performance

  • Advise leaders on employee relations matters and best practices.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and assist with conflict resolution.
  • Support performance management coaching disciplinary processes and development planning.
  • Promote a respectful collaborative and inclusive workplace culture.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Support full-cycle recruitment activities including sourcing interviewing references offers and onboarding.
  • Assist with workforce planning to meet operational needs.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to attract top talent.

Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Coordinate onboarding programs and new employee orientation.
  • Partner with Payroll IT Operations and Safety to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Maintain employee records and documentation.
  • Evaluate onboarding effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Learning & Development

  • Coordinate employee training initiatives.
  • Support leadership development programs.
  • Monitor compliance training requirements.
  • Promote continuous learning opportunities across the organization.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Assist with compensation reviews and salary benchmarking.
  • Support benefits administration and employee inquiries.
  • Help improve HR processes to ensure consistency and business continuity.
  • Participate in employee engagement and recognition initiatives.

Compliance & HR Administration

  • Ensure compliance with Alberta employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Maintain HR policies procedures and employee documentation.
  • Support audits and internal reporting.
  • Stay informed on legislative updates affecting employment practices.

Health & Safety

  • Collaborate with Health & Safety teams on workplace initiatives.
  • Support return-to-work and accommodation programs.
  • Promote a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for someone who combines strong HR knowledge with a practical business-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources Business Administration Industrial Relations or a related field.
  • CPHR designation (or actively pursuing designation) is considered an asset.
  • 57 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting construction industrial manufacturing energy or project-based environments is preferred.
  • Experience supporting both office and field employees.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of Alberta Employment Standards and Human Rights legislation.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience with Vista by Viewpoint is considered an asset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
