About the Role
Were looking for a strategic and results-driven leader to join our team as Director Commercial this role you will design deliver and continuously evolve a high-impact learning ecosystem that drives commercial excellence across sales relationship management and client success functions. You will ensure that commercial team members are equipped with the capabilities tools and insights required to accelerate revenue growth strengthen client relationships and deliver exceptional client experiences. This role is accountable for translating business strategy into a forward-looking learning and development roadmap that enables sustainable performance and organizational growth.
What Youll Do
- Define and execute a comprehensive commercial learning strategy aligned with business priorities and growth targets.
- Establish and govern a multi-year Commercial capability and learning roadmap ensuring alignment with evolving market demands client expectations and strategic objectives.
- Design and implement scalable learning solutions across sales relationship management and client success.
- Own the enterprise strategy and delivery model for sales onboarding upskilling and leadership development ensuring alignment to business priorities and measurable performance outcomes.
- Integrate AI-enabled and digital learning solutions to enhance personalization scalability and impact.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate training effectiveness business impact and return on investment.
- Lead and develop a high-performing learning team focused on commercial capability building.
- Partner with senior leaders across Commercial HR Leasing and Operations to align learning with performance outcomes.
- Drive adoption of learning initiatives through strong change management and communication strategies.
- Monitor external trends competitive benchmarks and emerging practices and evolving client needs to ensure training relevance and competitive positioning.
Basic Qualifications
- Certification in Training and Development or equivalent professional designation.
- Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in training and development including at least three years of direct experience in sales training.
- Proven experience designing and leading commercial sales programs in complex performance-driven environments.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies client success models and relationship management practices.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into scalable high-impact learning solutions.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial sales learning and reinforcement frameworks and sales capability models.
- Knowledge of training needs analysis instructional design and adult learning methodologies.
- Experience with learning technologies including LMS virtual platforms and AI-enabled tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Data-driven decision making and analytical mindset.
- Executive presence and strong facilitation skills.
Location
Current Location: Toronto
The hiring base salary range for this position is $133400 to $183400 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individuals knowledge skills experience equity with other team members and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
