As a Data Governance Analyst you will be part of a team leading initiatives to support the implementation of a Data Governance Program. Your contribution will help shape the future of Albertas Transportation through strategic data governance.
Reporting to the Manager of Data Management & Governance the Data Governance Analyst will play a key role in understanding and assessing the current data landscape and implement a robust data governance framework. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies procedures and standards in alignment with regulations industry best practices and divisional goals. This role requires addressing diverse and complex data access needs while ensuring alignment with departmental priorities and cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain data governance policies processes and guidelines.
Establish data standards and definitions to ensure consistency accuracy and high trust in data.
Design and implement on data governance metrics to track compliance adoption and performance.
Develop and maintain metadata standards for structure organization and accessibility while overseeing data classification quality assessment monitoring and improvement processes.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive accountability supporting effective data use and data governance initiatives.
Prepare clear documentation presentation and recommendations for diverse stakeholder groups.
Recommend improvements to data governance processes as business technology and regulatory requirements evolve.
Provide guidance training and support to promote data governance adoption and advance data literacy across the health sector.
Support Data Governance Committee operations engagement and stakeholder coordination as needed.
