Location: 23 Benton Road North York M6M 3G2
Major intersection: Keele & Lawrence
Hours: Full-time 40 hours per week.
Schedule: Evening Shifts - Monday to Friday 12:00 8:30PM
Reports to: Cutting Supervisor
Rate: $18.50 $19/Hour

JOB SUMMARY:
The Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for spreading patterns on top of layers of fabric and cut fabric using electric or manual knives cutters or computer numerically controlled cutting devices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for operating electronic textile cutting machine.
- Spreading fabric in preparation for machine cutting.
- Assist with material handling.
- Assist with preparing materials for production.
- Must be able to read and follow provided cutting instructions.
- Other duties as needed.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Must be able to read and speak English.
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly - Using proper lifting techniques.
- Experience in the textile industry considered an asset.
- Good communications skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
- Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to work well with a team.
- Self-motivated.
Must be legally able to work in Canada and where applicable must have a valid work permit.
