The CSS Program Coordinator Bilingual is a member of the Client Support Services (CSS) National Coordination Team supporting the effective coordination and delivery of settlement programming for newcomers across Canada. The role contributes to program consistency and quality by supporting alignment with funding requirements program standards and organizational priorities. It works collaboratively with partner sites and stakeholders to facilitate communication knowledge sharing and the implementation of key initiatives. Combining coordination and analytical support the position contributes to ongoing program improvements and responsive service delivery. Through strong organizational and communication skills the role supports the effective functioning of a national service network.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure compliance with all terms of government contribution agreements and service agreements including national targets reporting requirements settlement outcomes program standards and program evaluation while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable agreements and contracts.
  • Develop and monitor quality benchmarks national program standards guidelines and policies to support consistent program delivery and inform new proposal submissions.
  • Develop and implement a national outreach and communication plan to strengthen partnerships engage the broader community and promote collaboration across CSS sites toward a shared vision of supporting newcomers.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with program staff supervisors and partner agencies to facilitate information sharing and cross-learning through a community of practice model.
  • Analyze program and participant trends needs gaps and outcomes by preparing regular reports and research and recommend program innovations strategic directions and best practices in refugee resettlement case management and community capacity building.
  • Design develop and deliver training programs for partner staff across Canada identifying learning needs engaging trainers and coordinating all related logistics.
  • Coordinate the Annual Conference and local site meetings in collaboration with the Program Manager.
  • Support the development and submission of proposals for conferences grants and related initiatives.
  • Support working groups network initiatives and special projects.
  • Manage and develop content for the Learning Management System (LMS) and the CSS website.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise and keep the Manager informed.
  • Record meeting minutes without reliance on AI supports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

  • Focus on the health safety and wellbeing of all children youth and vulnerable people in YMCA programs including understanding legal and moral obligations related to reporting suspected child abuse to Child Protection Services.

You bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Social Services Development Studies Communications or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with outreach activities and strategies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working directly or indirectly with newcomers.
  • Prior settlement case management experience is an asset.
  • Must possess advanced computer skills (Excel Word PowerPoint).
  • Verbal and written fluency in French is required.
  • Proven ability to facilitate training sessions in virtual environments and confidently engage with clients in face-to-face settings.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva HTML and WordPress is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building/customer service skills with the ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with members staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to work efficiently with a high degree of independence and navigate ambiguity.
  • Communicates in a thorough clear and timely manner and supports information sharing and goal achievement across the Association.
  • Superior planning organization management team-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a diverse environment.
  • Flexibility with working hours including days evenings and weekends as well as the ability to travel and stay overnight when required.
  • Excellent understanding of diversity equity inclusion and belonging including the ability to identify and address barriers work effectively with diverse stakeholders and integrate equity into program design.
