Class AZ Dry Van Operator
Job Summary
Clean Harbors in Brampton ON is seeking a local Class AZ Dry Van Operator to join their safety conscious team! The successful candidate will hold a Class AZ License and be responsible for operating Dry Vans to transport waste from client sites to the assigned facility for operator will be compliant in all aspects of transportation and health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
- Drive operate and maintain assigned units (Dry Vans) to customer sites.
- Guarantee proper loading and unloading of hazardous/non-hazardous waste.
- Perform pre-and-post-trip inspections and ensure the equipment is always mechanically sound and in good working order.
- Ensure proper placarding of vehicles to meet all requirements and regulations.
- Complete field level risk assessments and other related paperwork.
- Work as part of a team with customers co-workers & supervisors.
- Verify drum counts inspect container conditions and ensure all materials meet shipping and handling requirements.
- Operate material handling equipment and safely move drums totes skids and containers.
- All other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Class AZ Drivers License required with experience operating Dry Vans.
- Clean driving record with reliable transportation to commute to the facility every day.
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification and hazardous waste handling experience highly preferred.
- Proven ability to operate vehicles equipped with an 18-speed manual transmission highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks including loading and unloading vehicles.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screening including drug and alcohol testing.
