What youll do
Responsibilities
The Audio Visual Technician provides technical support operations and training to faculty students staff and the campus community. Support is provided for classes ensuring the successful operation and use of multimedia equipment and teaching systems. The role is responsible for installation operation and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for meetings and internal/external events creating and curating a multimedia experience for clientele. This position also provides additional technical support and tasks as assigned by the Manager of Multimedia Services.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a diploma in audio technology and two years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidates should have demonstrated experience setting up and operating microphones sound mixers projectors video screens amplifiers and lighting. They should have experience diagnosing and fixing equipment and have strong problem-solving skills. They should also have experience with video editing software audio mixing programs and control system software. Candidates should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work professionally in a pressured role. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) social media platforms website platforms such as WordPress and have an aptitude for or previous experience using business enterprise systems such as Colleague Banner PeopleSoft etc.
