About The Role

As a key contributor to the Finance & Accounting team youll drive tangible value for our partners by collaborating across disciplines sharing your expertise and playing a vital role in our growth.

AI Fluency: AI fluency is a core expectation at ScalePad be explicit about how this role should use AI to drive efficiency decision-making and outcomes.


What Youll Own

Get ready to go beyond order-taking. Your strategic responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the month-end close end-to-end ensuring accurate presentation holding yourself and the senior accountant to deadlines escalating blockers and delivering a closed book on time every time.
  • Supporting the year-end audit and quarterly reviews preparing and reconciling workpapers reviewing working papers of the senior accountant
  • Owning technical accounting workstreams in NetSuite revenue recognition sales and use tax compliance intercompany eliminations and ad-hoc memos for new transactions.
  • Reviewing and developing two senior accountants through structured feedback and coaching turning their good work into great work as the team scales.
  • Assisting the Corporate Controller with ad hoc projects.


What were looking for

We care about what you can do more than where youve done it. However experience in the following areas will help you hit the ground running in this role:

  • CPA designation with 6 years of progressive accounting experience including time in public practice (Big 4 required) and in industry (SaaS preferred).
  • Hands-on experience running a full-cycle close in a multi-entity SaaS or other high-growth recurring-revenue business with deep working knowledge of NetSuite.
  • Demonstrated experience as the day-to-day owner of an external audit you have carried workpapers fielded auditor questions and closed open items without needing the Controller to step in.
  • A track record of navigating ambiguity and turning it into action.
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with ASPE and US GAAP.
  • Experience with Netsuite required. Ramp Avalara and Anthropic (or other AI experience) preferred
  • Comfort with AI tools as part of your daily workflow plus excellent written communication you can turn a variance into a story the Corporate Controller and the auditor both understand.
