Role: Application Architect
Location: Toronto Canada (Hybrid)

Experience Range:
10 Years
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
12 15 years of IT experience with 7 10 years in cloud and application architecture roles.
Proven leadership of enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization programs.
Deep experience with Azure AWS or GCP (multi-cloud preferred).
Strong background in application architecture distributed systems and integration.
Experience operating at Lead Architect capacity.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
Containers & orchestration (Docker Kubernetes)
Serverless and PaaS services
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform Bicep ARM CloudFormation)
CI/CD and DevOps practices
Security architecture and Zero Trust
Observability monitoring and resilience engineering
Roles & Responsibilities
Own and define enterprise application migration and modernization strategies across multiple portfolios.
Lead architecture decisions for re-hosting re-platforming re-factoring re-architecting and cloud-native rebuilds.
Design and govern scalable secure resilient cloud-native architectures.
Act as technical authority across cloud programs reviewing and approving architecture designs.
Drive adoption of microservices container platforms serverless and event-driven architectures.
Define reference architectures standards patterns and guardrails.
Partner with engineering security and platform teams to enforce best practices.
Engage with senior stakeholders and executives to align technology strategy with business outcomes.
