Main Objectives

The Commercial Manager translates the overall strategy of management into sales actions on the ground drives revenue and supervises the sales team while ensuring the operational implementation of the strategy.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Market Research

  • Develop new sales initiatives local sales operations and identify potential new targets
  • Monitor market changes and gather information on competing products
  • Develop marketing/sales action plans to achieve set objectives
  • Analyze information on competing products
  • Monitor fluctuations in competitor product prices
  • Regularly analyze price trends of products currently on sale and those to be sold in the target market and assist the Chinese team in setting local product prices
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring of industry customer and market developments to better adapt strategy to field realities

  • Define relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively track team progress
  • Monitor stocks sales and product distribution through quantitative analysis and data management
  • Provide professional analysis results and management recommendations for customer service
  • Ensure smooth communication with key downstream clients in the region to identify issues and expectations for rapid resolution thereby driving sales growth and customer satisfaction

Account Management

  • Define relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively track team progress

Market Expansion and Project Development

  • Ensure the development and promotion of our products
  • Visit the assigned region to develop new clients
  • Master the company's management systems and commercial methods to ensure continuously improving efficiency
  • Gather market information and produce market research reports

Team Management

  • Define commercial objectives for individual team members
  • Define relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to effectively track team progress
  • Train team members in prospecting sales and negotiation techniques
  • Organize and lead the implementation of prospecting plans and sales operations
  • Foster a positive team spirit and social climate ensuring fair treatment among all team members

PROFILE

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the Cameroonian market regarding FMCG products
  • Solid negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Proficiency in office tools and sales management software
  • Good understanding of the FMCG product distribution environment
  • Mastery of customer relationship management

Qualifications

Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Marketing International Trade Sales and Commercial Negotiation or a related field.
