Senior Architect

Senior Architect role is accountable for solution and platform architecture that advances global Mappers and DataHub integrations in partnership with the KL DataHub team and in close alignment with ESS. The person is the primary technical conduit between ESS and the Brazil squad turning enterprise and regional priorities into clear architectures RFCs and delivery guardrails. The work supports global stakeholders including North America. Near-term outcomes include contributing to more data sources and self-service with Brazil as the lead region for a global capability. The architect sets the bar for platform development secure deployment security architecture and performance and cost optimization and remains highly hands-on with AI-native engineering agents LLMs and MCP not advisory only. Machine learning experience is a plus where the roadmap requires it. The role mentors engineers leads architecture reviews and supports inner-source and co-development with Brazil (Credit Decisioning) when the program allocates capacity.

• Own solution and platform architecture for complex DataHub and mapper initiatives; publish RFCs reference designs and diagrams that ESS KL DataHub and the Brazil squad can execute against. 
• Act as the primary technical conduit between ESS and the Brazil squadtranslate enterprise priorities facilitate architecture reviews and escalate trade-offs when regional and global standards diverge. 
• Strengthen platform development secure deployment and optimizationpipelines environments security gates performance and cost discipline on architecturally significant paths. 
• Stay highly hands-on with AI-native engineeringagents LLMs MCP integrations and agentic workflowsin architecture and implementation with verification and policy alignment; mentor others on the same patterns. 
• Provide technical leadership through architecture and code reviews; mentor Staff and mid-level engineers on design reasoning trade-offs and production excellence. 
• Partner on reliability and operations for critical servicespostmortems observability and durable fixesnot only greenfield design. 
• Align with KL DataHub and global owners on inner-source and integration strategy; reduce duplication and architectural drift across regions. 

Qualifications :

• Advanced English and availability to travel to São Carlos/SP when need it.
• Must-have: Solution and platform architecture; RFCs and  (or equivalent); ESSBrazil conduit skills; Java/Spring and microservices (review and unblock depth); AWS; Kubernetes/EKS; platform development; deployment (CI/CD Jenkins promotions rollback); security architecture (Veracode or Checkmarx SonarQube); optimization (performance reliability cost); OpenAPI; testing strategy (unit integration acceptance automation); full-stack awareness (Angular or React where needed). 
• Mandatory AI (hands-on): Cursor (or equivalent) Claude (or enterprise-approved LLM) MCP agentic engineering and practical agents/LLM patterns in architecture and implementationwith verification and policy alignment. 
• Nice-to-have: Machine learning (serving pipelines MLOps); IaC; Kafka/data patterns; advanced
