About Baan Dek Foundation
Baan Dek Foundation (BDF) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious organization based in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. BDF's core mission is to provide access to education, health, and social services to the most vulnerable children living in urban slums and construction site camps in Thailand. Over the last 10 years of grassroots work originating in Chiang Mai, Baan Dek Foundation established key partnerships with construction companies and real estate developers to build sustainable impact in construction site camps and improve the lives and access to basic services of construction workers and their children. Through the recent launch of the Building Social Impact initiative, BDF seeks to scale up and reach a wide adoption of this framework and tools in the construction sector.
