At Mallee District Aboriginal Services (MDAS) our Family & Community Services team works at the grassroots level to wrap around and protect local families.
Operating across Mildura andSwan Hill we are dedicated to helping ourMobraise healthy happy children with a strong connection to culture and identity.
Your Role
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Youth Hub Program Facilitatorto help inspire engage and empower Aboriginal young people through culture connection and community.
This is a part-time fixed-term position until January 2027 based in Mildura.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
As the Youth Hub Program Facilitator you will create and deliver engaging activities that help young people build confidence strengthen cultural identity and develop positive connections within the community.
Working closely with Elders community members and young people you will coordinate a range of activities including:
- Cultural learning and On-Country experiences
- Traditional skills bush tucker and cultural practices
- Arts and creative activities including art therapy
- Sporting and recreational programs
- School holiday programs and youth excursions
- Community events and youth engagement activities
This is a hands-on role where you can make a genuine impact on the lives of Aboriginal young people.
You will bring:
- Experience working with Aboriginal young people families and communities
- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal culture traditions and community engagement
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to plan coordinate and facilitate youth activities and programs
- Experience in art therapy or creative youth engagement activities is preferred.
- Current Australian Driver Licence
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check
- Current National Police Check
