About this role
We are seeking an experienced and hands-onWorkshop Supervisor to lead our fleet automotive workshop operations. This role is responsible for overseeing daily workshop activities ensuring fleet vehicles are serviced maintained and repaired efficiently while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
Youll play a key role in driving productivity mentoring technicians and ensuring minimal vehicle downtime across our fleet operations.
Reporting to the Site operations manager your duties will be as followed however not limited to:
- Lead and coordinate the daily execution of all Fleet build activities ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance across all stages of the build process including accessory fitting electrical installations and vehicle integration.
- Assist with performing hands-on installation of complex systems such as dual battery setups lighting systems communications equipment and custom wiring.
- Collaborate with Technical Services Officers to implement changes and ensure compliance with build specifications.
- Monitor inventory levels of technical components and liaise with Stores to ensure timely availability of parts and accessories.
- Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory requirements
- Manage parts inventory ordering and supplier relationships
- Analyse workshop performance and implement process improvements
- Conduct road tests before and after builds to ensure vehicle integrity.
- Perform and oversee safety and quality checks throughout the build process.
About You:
- Proven experience in a Workshop Supervisor Leading Hand or Senior Technician role
- Strong background in fleet or heavy/light vehicle maintenance
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of WHS regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Computer literacy (fleet management systems experience desirable)
