AESTEC Services is seeking a hands-on and driven Workshop Manager to lead our team of Diesel Fitters Boilermakers and Apprentices across a diverse range of workshop site-based and breakdown/call-out work.

As Workshop Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of our workshop operations while supporting field-based and breakdown activities.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge excellent people skills and the ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of safety quality and customer service.

You will lead a team of:

• Supervisors
• Diesel Fitters
• Boilermakers
• Apprentices

The role will oversee:

• Workshop maintenance and repair activities
• Fabrication and boilermaking works
• Mobile plant and equipment maintenance
• Site-based projects
• Breakdown and call-out services
• Resource planning and scheduling
• Safety quality and operational performance

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker Diesel Fitter or equivalent in Mobile Maintenance
• Previous experience in a Workshop Supervisor or Workshop Manager position
• Demonstrated experience leading teams of tradespeople and apprentices
• Strong knowledge of mobile plant heavy equipment and/or industrial maintenance
• Experience coordinating workshop and field service operations
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture
• Current C Class Driver Licence

Desirable:

• Experience working within the mining industrial or construction sectors
• High Risk Work Licences
• Experience with estimating job costing and resource planning

• Lead and mentor a team of Supervisors Diesel Fitters Boilermakers and Apprentices
• Coordinate workshop site and breakdown activities to meet client requirements
• Ensure all work is completed safely efficiently and to a high standard
• Manage labour materials and equipment resources
• Monitor productivity budgets and job performance
• Foster a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and legislative requirements
