About the role
As ourWorkforce Development Leadyou will sit within the Western Integrated Family Violence Committee (WIFVC). The WIFVC is a representative whole-of-sector reference groupcomprisingkey stakeholders committed to reducing family violence in Melbournes west. The WIFVC is one of 13 regional committees across Victoria funded by the Department of Families Fairness and Housing (DFFH).
The purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management and Information Sharing (MARAMIS) alignment activities with stakeholders across the western metropolitan region as part of the MARAMIS Sector Support Program 2024 27. This position will lead and advise onorganisationaland system level change management initiatives to contribute to system improvement through MARAM Alignment.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Principal Strategic Advisor you willbe responsible for:
Developing and leading implementation of WIFVCs2026-2029 Workforce Strategy
Leading the development implementation and evaluation of MARAM Alignment strategies and work plans for the WIFVC including for the MARAM Sector Support Program 2024-27.
Overseeing the MARAM Collaborative Practice training program including management of traininglogisticsand casual sessional trainers.
Coordinating developingdeliveringand evaluating trainingcoachingand mentoring in a variety of settings within the region that support MARAM alignment.
Leading the monitoring and analysis of MARAM alignment progress within prescribedorganisationsand across the servicesystem andprovidestrategic advice on key priorities for MARAM alignment for a range of stakeholders.
Developing and promotingappropriate activities resources and communications that support MARAM alignment for a variety of target audiences.
Identifyingbarriers and opportunitiesfororganisationalMARAM alignment and servicesystemintegrating andleadthe development and facilitation of innovative solutions to meet identified needs.
About you
Essential
Extensive experience working within Family Violence ideally within a leadership or senior role
Tertiary qualifications in social work community development gender studies and/or a social policy discipline(as per theMMQ)
Comprehensive knowledgeanddemonstratedexperienceapplyingthe Multi Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework(MARAM)andunderstanding ofthe broader family violence reform environment.
Demonstrated understanding of familyviolenceincluding an understanding of issues relating to the gendered nature of family violence.
Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills including the preparation of reports and tailoring communications to relevant stakeholders.
Demonstrated abilityto think strategically and critically
Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and SurveyMonkey
Working with Childrens Check
Police Check (and international police check if lived overseas for a year or more in the last 10 years)
Current drivers license and ability to travel to attend relevant training sessions
Desired
General understanding and/or knowledge of the western suburbs
