Talenting is partnering with the Centre for Womens Safety and Wellbeing (CWSW) Western Australias peak body advancing womens safety and family and domestic violence reform to recruit a Workforce Development and Capability Lead for its newly funded Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Workforce Entity.
What is this opportunity
CWSW and its consortium partners have been funded by the WA Government to establish a new Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Workforce Entity - a major statewide initiative to strengthen workforce capability and support the delivery of system-wide reform across Western Australia.
Working in partnership with government specialist FDV services Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations training providers and research institutions the Entity will drive long-term workforce development and coordination across the sector. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in shaping practical workforce capability initiatives that support a skilled safe and sustainable FDV workforce across WA.
Why does this role matter
The Workforce Development and Capability Lead will help translate statewide reform priorities into practical workforce development initiatives that strengthen capability across the FDV service system.
This role will lead the development and implementation of the Capability Development Plan ensuring initiatives are aligned with sector needs government priorities and key reform frameworks.
What will you be responsible for
Reporting to the Executive Director you will lead the development and delivery of workforce capability initiatives for the FDV Workforce Entity.
You will:
Lead the development and implementation of the Capability Development Plan aligned with sector needs and reform priorities.
Identify workforce capability gaps and future workforce needs across the FDV sector.
Design and deliver practical capability initiatives including training professional development and sector resources.
Manage workforce development projects end-to-end including delivery models partnerships and contracted providers.
Monitor and report on progress outcomes and impact of capability initiatives.
Build strong relationships across government sector organisations and training providers and contribute to system-wide workforce reform.
All work will embed trauma-informed culturally responsive and survivor-centred practice.

What we are looking for
CWSW is seeking an experienced workforce development and capability professional with the skills to design and deliver practical initiatives that support sector-wide capability quality and continuous improvement.
Ideally you will bring:
1. Demonstrated experience in workforce development and capability building preferably within human services family and domestic violence or related sectors.
2. Proven ability to develop and implement strategic and operational plans and translate them into practical initiatives and learning solutions.
3. Strong project and contract management skills.
4. Highly developed stakeholder engagement and collaboration capability across government and community sectors.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to report and present at executive level and to develop accessible resource materials and information for diverse audiences.
6. Strong understanding of family and domestic violence and traumainformed culturally safe practice and victim-survivor frameworks and practice.
7. Experience working in or with FDV services specialist genderedviolence systems or human service organisations.

Proven senior leadership experience (5 years) in community not-for-profit or government sectors. The ability to recognise and articulate issues relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with a proven capacity to consult and negotiate effectively and sensitively in accordance with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander protocols. A high level of interpersonal skills for networking consulting and liaising at all levels. The ability to lead and build capacity within a multi-disciplinary team with confidence honesty and commitment. Advanced written skills including a demonstrated ability to research information and write complex reports. Demonstrated understanding of community development. Demonstrated knowledge of finance budgeting and financial analysis.
Required Education:
Relevant tertiary qualifications ideally in business project management or a related field.
