About The Team

The Office of Learning Teaching and Technology within the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Education) portfolio supports the delivery of high-quality inclusive learning experiences that enhance student success and graduate outcomes.

The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team partners with Schools and industry organisations to coordinate student placements and workplace learning opportunities particularly in disciplines where placements are a core curriculum requirement. Operating across multiple stakeholders systems and campuses the team delivers compliant student-centred services that support positive placement experiences.

The WIL team comprises three streams including two placement-focused teams and a specialist support team providing systems documentation and process support across WIL. The team is primarily based at the South Street Campus with additional staff located at the Mandurah campus.

Your New Role!

The WIL Placements Support Officer provides high-quality administrative and operational support to the WIL team and students ensuring all activities are delivered in line with established procedures systems and compliance requirements. This role is responsible for managing front-line student enquiries processing mandatory placement clearance and coordinating the administration of placement provider agreements. Working in a fast-paced environment the position is focused on high-volume process-driven activities and requires strong attention to detail excellent organisational skills and a commitment to delivering responsive customer service.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Provide responsive student and stakeholder support by managing front-line enquiries coordinating placement-related communications and escalating complex issues as required
  • Administer placement compliance and processes through the high-volume processing of mandatory placement requirements maintenance of provider agreements payment processing and accurate record management
  • Support systems reporting and continuous improvements by maintaining placement data in SONIA preparing routine reports contributing to process improvements and providing broader administrative support to the WIL team

This Continuous Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $74k $82k (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What youll bring to the role:

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in administration business support or a related field
  • Administrative and operational support experience ideally within a higher education student services or customer-focused environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • High level of digital literacy including experience maintaining accurate records preparing documentation and learning new systems and technologies
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks meeting deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
