THE POSITION

• Manage the collection sorting and disposal of general clinical and hazardous waste in line with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Operate waste equipment safely and maintain clean hygienic waste areas including bins rooms and disposal points.
• Support waste audits sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement in waste management practices.
• Coordinate waste logistics including bin washing carousel and chute systems and subcontractor collections.
• Maintain accurate records follow infection control procedures and collaborate with hospital teams to ensure safe efficient operations.

THE PERSON

• Experience in waste management or environmental services (healthcare experience highly regarded).
• Knowledge of waste handling practices and infection control protocols.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently manage physical tasks and meet operational schedules.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative team-focused approach.
