Synergie Australia is recruiting on behalf of our client a well-established national leader in tyre distribution for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their Darwin team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in warehouse transport or logistics operations. Youll take ownership of the day-to-day running of the warehouse and delivery function leading a small team while ensuring inventory freight and customer deliveries are completed safely accurately and on time.

About the Role

Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager youll oversee the daily warehouse and delivery operations ensuring products are received stored and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high safety and service standards.

Youll work closely with warehouse staff delivery drivers and transport providers to ensure customers receive their orders accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Supervise all receiving storage picking and dispatch activities
• Ensure inventory accuracy and efficient stock movement
• Coordinate freight movements and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with container unloading and order picking when required
• Maintain a clean organised and safe warehouse environment

Transport & Delivery

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and driver workloads
• Manage delivery drivers contractors and casual staff
• Monitor delivery performance to achieve on-time delivery targets
• Ensure driver compliance licences and training remain current
• Validate contractor timesheets and reconcile freight invoices
• Liaise with transport providers to ensure cost-effective service delivery
• Oversee vehicle servicing maintenance and presentation

Leadership & Safety

• Lead mentor and develop the warehouse and delivery team
• Conduct toolbox talks and team meetings
• Promote a strong safety culture across all operations
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Monitor plant equipment and facility maintenance schedules

About You

To be successful youll ideally have:

• Previous experience supervising warehouse logistics or transport operations
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes inventory control and freight coordination
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Sound commercial awareness and decision-making ability
• Current Drivers Licence
• Current Forklift Licence
