Orange Sky exists to support Australians who are facing challenges in their lives including homelessness financial hardship limited access to laundry facilities or temporary displacement due to a natural are committed to being there when its needed most offering free laundry services warm showers and friendly chats with our volunteers. Our volunteers and vans hit the road every day across Australia and New Zealand helping folks feel seen heard and supported. Over the past nine years weve met thousands of amazing people and heard some incredible stories. Now were on the lookout for someone just as passionate to join our team and help keep the wheels turning literally!

The Role

Reporting to our awesome Operations Support Team Leader youll be the go-to person making sure our volunteers have an amazing experience every step of the way. From recruitment and onboarding to keeping our systems sharp and our processes humming youll be the friendly face (and voice!) behind the scenes that keeps everything on track. Bringing the right mix of empathy energy and problem-solving smarts to keep everyone engaged even when tough conversations pop up.

Its a role for someone who loves connecting with people and thrives on juggling moving parts. If youre adaptable organised and up for the challenge of helping our volunteers feel valued supported and ready to make an impact this ones for you!

What youll be doing (in a nutshell)

• Support volunteers throughout their journey with Orange Sky ensuring an exceptional experience from start to finish
• Provide administration support by maintaining accurate systems data and refining processes
• Recruit place and engage volunteers to ensure the right fit across teams
• Communicate with energy and empathy keeping people engaged while also navigating tough conversations when needed
• Work confidently across multiple systems with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Help volunteers feel valued and supported with a focus on recognition and retention
• Thrive in a dynamic environment by being agile adaptable and solutions-focused
