About the Role

Werelooking for energeticfriendlyand confident people to join the Powerhouse Parramatta Visitor Host time Part time and casual opportunities are this role you will create a welcomingand inclusive experience for everyone who willengagewith our visitors share information supportexhibitions and events and make sure visitors feel comfortable. The role requires the ability to work varied shifts including evenings weekends public holidays depending on programming. This is a fast-paced hands-on role where every day is different.

This is a targeted role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply.

You aresomeone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Whether meeting someone for the first time or engaging with a diverse crowd you bring warmth enthusiasm and a can-do attitude to every interaction. You thrive in busy public environments adapting easily to changing situations whileremainingcalm and reliable under pressure. Passionate about inclusion and accessibility you believe everyone should feel welcome valued and able toparticipatefully. Experience in hospitality retail festivals events customerserviceor community work is helpful but not essential.

We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.
