We are looking for a dedicated Village Support Officer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis helping to create a positive and engaging experience for our residents every part of our team you will support residents in their daily lives while promoting independence and assisting with a variety of tasks across the village as a valued all-rounder. You will play an important role in building meaningful relationships with residents and contributing to the warm inclusive community that makes Vermont Estate a wonderful place to to the Village Manager your duties will include:Building positive and respectful relationships with residents to promote wellbeing and a strong sense of communityConducting resident welfare checks to ensure comfort safety and peace of mindResponding to resident enquiriesAssisting with meal and dinner service ensuring residents enjoy a positive dining experienceCompleting kitchen clean-up duties following dinner service including cleaning dining and kitchen areas washing dishes and maintaining a tidy environmentCleaning and maintaining common areas throughout the village including community spaces dining areas and shared facilities to ensure a safe welcoming and well-presented environment for residents and visitorsResponding to emergency call-outs and coordinating emergency services where necessaryProviding first aid assistance as requiredMaintaining accurate records completing incident reports and providing thorough shift handoversAssisting with the coordination and delivery of village events and activitiesProviding general support around the village and assisting with additional tasks as directed by the Village ManagerShiftsThis role will primarily involve afternoon shifts that transition into overnight sleepover shifts with regular weekend availability required. There will also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts and provide leave coverage across day afternoon and overnight rosters during the : 2:30pm 10:30pm followed by a sleepover shift concluding at 8:30am the following : 2:30pm 10:30pm followed by a sleepover shift concluding at 8:30am the following preferred working days for this position are outlined above; however we recognise the importance of flexibility and may be able to consider alternative arrangements for the right candidate.
