Since its creation in 1989 Currumbin Wildlife Hospital has grown to be one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the addition the hospital provides veterinary care to the Sanctuary animal collection and conducts world-leading research and conservation hospital islocatedwithin the grounds ofCurrumbin Wildlife Sanctuary one of 12 properties managed byNational Trust of Australia Queensland (NTAQ). To support the ever-increasing expansion of the Wildlife Hospital operationswe have opportunity foranexperienced and confident VeterinaryNurse to ourhighly respected Wildlife Hospital teamtosupportthe Reception Team &make a genuine difference.

The Wildlife Hospital is a dynamic fast-paced environment and the Veterinary Nurse Reception will play a key role in supporting both reception and admissions particularly during high-volume wildlife intake periods.

As a people-focused individual you will act as the first point of contact both in person and over the phone responding to public enquiriesregardinginjured and displaced wildlife. You will liaise with wildlife care and rescue groups such as Wildcare to coordinate admissions andfacilitateinformation sharing while alsoassistingwith the admission and triage of wildlife patients.

The role includesmaintaininga professional and well-presented reception and admissions area as well as providing administrative support to the Wildlife Hospital team including data entry scanning and record management.

Reporting directly to the Reception Team Leader you will contribute to a collaborative team environment while supporting the efficient operation of a high-volume clinical setting.

To be successful in thisrole youwill havepreviousexperience in administration reception or a similarwithin a medical or veterinary establishmentandCert IV in veterinary nursingwould be highly key skills and qualifications we are looking for include:

• Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of Australian wildlife (experience with wildlife organisations such as Wildcare highly regarded)

• Friendlyprofessionaland empathetic communication style both in person and over the phone

• Strong computer literacy andaccurateadministrative skills

• Confidence interacting with members of the public contractors and wildlife care and rescue groups

• Ability to remain calmorganisedand responsive in a noisy fast-pacedand sometimes emergency-driven environment

• Local area knowledge and understanding of wildlife networks will be highly regarded

• Cert IV in veterinary nursing desirable
