Albany Creek Veterinary Surgery is looking for a passionate and experienced Full-Time Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team!

Were looking for a qualified Veterinary Nurse who is compassionate confident and enjoys providing high-quality patient care while working as part of a supportive team.

About the role

This is a varied and rewarding role within a busy professional veterinary practice. Youll work closely with our veterinarians and nursing team to provide excellent care to our patients and their families.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality nursing and inpatient care
• Surgical preparation and anaesthetic monitoring
• Assisting veterinarians with consultations procedures and treatments
• Administering medications and treatments
• Pathology IV catheter placement and fluid therapy
• Dental and general nursing duties
• Patient monitoring and recovery
• Client communication education and discharge
• Maintaining accurate patient records and high standards of hygiene

Were looking for someone who takes pride in their nursing skills is comfortable working in a busy environment and genuinely cares about the wellbeing of both patients and clients.

About you

You will ideally be:

• Certificate IV qualified in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• Experienced and confident in clinical nursing and anaesthesia
• Compassionate reliable and professional
• A strong communicator and team player
• Organised proactive and able to work independently
• Passionate about patient care and continued professional development
