About the Role

As a Venues Officer no two days are the same. This varied and hands-on role sees you supporting a diverse range of activities across Councils Venues and spaces. Working closely with community members contractors and Council staff youll enjoy a dynamic environment where you can deliver outstanding customer service while helping create positive experiences for our guests across hundreds of events.

As a Venues Officer you will be working in a team in our Community Strengthening role is responsible for ensuring venues are prepared safe welcoming and ready for a wide range of Community and Council-run events.

In this role you will be:

  • Setting up and packing down rooms and event spaces.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to venue hirers contractors and staff.
  • Supporting meetings events and Council functions.
  • Using and supporting hirers with audiovisual equipment.
  • Maintaining venue cleanliness security and presentation.
  • Monitoring stock and supplies.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and emergency procedures.
  • Reporting maintenance cleaning and safety issues.

What Were Looking For

Were looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience in similar roles within the events industry preferred but all previous customer service experience will be considered.
  • Availability to work after hours and weekend work is a must have for this role.
  • Basic computer and administration skills required.
  • Working with Childrens Check or willingness to get one before work commencing.
  • Experience with audio visual equipment for live events preferred.
  • Driving license preferred.
