Job Summary

Full Time Strathfield Golf Club

The Fresh Collective is looking for an experienced hands-on Venue Supervisor to join our team at Strathfield Golf Club.

With a primary focus on Bistro 18 this role will also oversee the day-to-day operation of the Clubs Halfway Kiosk and provide support across functions and events as required.

This is a great opportunity for a hospitality professional who enjoys leading from the floor developing a strong team and creating a genuinely welcoming experience for Club members and guests.

The Role

Working closely with the Venue Manager youll be a visible and hands-on part of the operation taking ownership of service during your allocated shifts and leading the team from the floor.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Bistro service and maintaining a strong hands-on presence on the floor
  • Supervising coaching and supporting the front-of-house team throughout service
  • Running pre-service briefings and allocating sections duties and breaks
  • Ensuring Bistro 18 is fully prepared for service from opening through to close
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operation and presentation of the Halfway Kiosk
  • Managing bookings and large groups and maintaining clear communication with the kitchen
  • Monitoring service flow food wait times and guest feedback stepping in early when issues arise
  • Building positive relationships with Club members regulars and guests
  • Creating a warm welcoming environment and confidently handling guest enquiries and feedback
  • Developing strong menu and product knowledge within the team and encouraging genuine thoughtful upselling
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation cleanliness food safety and responsible service of alcohol
  • Supporting functions and events as required
  • Assisting with stock POS cash-up and other operational duties as required

Were looking for a natural hospitality leader who enjoys being part of the service and setting the standard from the floor.

Youll bring:

  • Previous supervisory experience within a club café restaurant or similar hospitality environment
  • A genuinely hands-on approach to leadership and service
  • A confident calm and practical leadership style
  • Strong communication customer service and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to organise motivate and support a team through busy service periods
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge and a genuine passion for hospitality
  • An understanding of the importance of regular guests and building relationships within a Club environment
  • The ability to think ahead identify issues and keep service moving smoothly
  • A valid RSA certificate
  • Formal hospitality and coffee training will be highly regarded
  • Availability to work a rotating roster across day and evening shifts Monday to Sunday

Required Experience:

Manager
