Utilities Officer

Puntukurnu Aboriginal Medical Service (PAMS) is seeking a Utilities Officer to help maintain a clean safe and welcoming environment across our clinic accommodation and operational premises in Newman.

• Daily cleaning of clinic accommodation and other PAMS facilities.
• Maintain clinical and non-clinical areas to infection control and accreditation standards.
• Prepare and clean accommodation for visiting services including linen management.
• Respond to additional cleaning requests as required.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the line manager.

To be successful you will have:

• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices including the safe use of cleaning products.
• Understanding of cleanliness standards within a healthcare environment.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and maintain cleaning supplies.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• An understanding of and ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.

• Salary: $50400 $58400 p.a. (excluding super)
