Unit Receptionist Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA)
Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-time Receptionist (24 hours per week) based in Richmond supporting the Day of Surgery Admissions (DOSA) team.
In this key front-line role you will provide essential administrative support while delivering a warm and professional welcome to patients on arrival. Youll play an important part in ensuring the smooth daily operations of the DOSA unit and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Working hours:
- Wednesday Thursday Friday
- 2 x 9.5-hour shifts (5:00am3:00pm or 8:00am6:00pm)
- 1 x 5-hour shift (2:00pm7:00pm)
- Plus 1 x monthly Saturday shift (5:30am10:30am)
- Occasional on-call required

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager you will work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to deliver efficient patient-focused service within a fast-paced surgical environment.

To be successful in this role
You will bring exceptional customer service skills acting as the first point of contact both over the phone and in person and consistently creating a welcoming and professional experience for patients visitors and staff. You will be confident managing a range of administrative responsibilities including data entry financial processing and general office coordination supported by strong computer skills.
To be successful in this role you will be highly organised detail-oriented and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will demonstrate a proactive and collaborative approach building positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.
