Now Hiring: Triage & Emergency Nurse (Veterinary Emergency Care)

Were seeking a skilled Triage & Emergency Nurse to be the first point of contact for emergency urgent and walk-in veterinary this critical frontline role youll use your clinical judgement communication skills and calm under pressure to ensure every patient receives the right care at the right time.

What youll do

  • Triage emergency and urgent cases over the phone and on arrival

  • Deliver rapid patient assessment and prioritisation based on clinical urgency

  • Provide initial emergency care and stabilisation when required

  • Support veterinarians with critical care diagnostics and treatment procedures

  • Monitor patient vitals and escalate changes in condition immediately

  • Maintain efficient patient flow through coordinated admissions and care planning

  • Assist with CPR and emergency interventions when required

  • Ensure clinical areas are fully prepared stocked and ready for emergencies

Youll be part of a high-performing team

Work closely with ICU surgical medical and nursing teams to deliver seamless high-quality emergency care. Youll also play a role in mentoring junior staff and supporting a culture of learning and excellence.

What were looking for

  • Minimum 3 years veterinary nursing experience (emergency/critical care preferred)

  • Confident in handling emergency care and triage

  • Strong ability to make quick sound clinical decisions

  • Excellent communication organisation and teamwork skills

  • Confident and calm working in high-pressure clinical environments

  • Experience with veterinary practice software (e.g. ezyVet advantageous)
