We are currently looking for a reliable and safety-focused Transport & Operations Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on and varied role combining delivery driving with operational support in our commercial laundry.

About the Role

In this role you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and collection of linen to Aegis facilities while ensuring high standards of hygiene safety and customer service.

Driving shifts are rotated weekly and when not scheduled to drive you will assist the laundry team with order preparation dispatch coordination and production tasks.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering and collecting linen from Aegis aged care and health facilities
• Loading and unloading linen trolleys safely and efficiently
• Ensuring correct quantities are delivered and collected
• Maintaining infection control standards and separation of clean and soiled linen
• Communicating any delivery issues vehicle concerns or customer feedback
• Supporting laundry operations including sorting packing and preparing orders
• Representing Aegis professionally when visiting facilities
• Participate in training and support a safe positive and continuous improvement culture

About You

We are seeking someone who is reliable organised and enjoys working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Essential:

• HR Class Drivers Licence
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet delivery schedules
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to undertake physical work including lifting and moving linen trolleys
• Understanding of workplace health and safety practices
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
• Flexibility to work rostered shifts
• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

• Previous experience in delivery driving or commercial laundry
• Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics
• Workplace First Aid Certificate
