Training Supervisor
Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Supervisor to join our team taking the lead on training activity across the Victoria and Tasmania this role youll manage engage and support our team of Trainers ensuring the delivery of high-quality compliant learning and development programs that build the skills and capability of our workforce. Youll be proactive in identifying opportunities to lift training performance across the region and drive continuous improvement in how we train develop and support our people.
This role will be based mainly out of our Fitzroy North and Doncaster depots with the expectation that you will travel to our other depots as required.
- Managing training activity across the region including leading and supporting the team of Trainers.
- Proactively identifying opportunities to improve training performance across the region and driving the changes needed to achieve this.
- Supervising developing and supporting the training team with plans covering succession internal mobility attrition and skills development.
- Collaborating on the development and implementation of a Learning & Development program that boosts employee engagement and builds the skills needed for career progression.
- Identifying and engaging with government initiatives to uncover upskilling and funding opportunities.
- Coordinating and delivering a professional standardised Driver Induction program aligned to Company best practice maximising the potential of new employees.
- Providing guidance to Trainers and Mentor Drivers on their performance and soft-skill development.
- A positive can-do attitude and a proactive approach to your work.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of Trainers with the ability to manage performance and drive improvement across a region.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent
- Willing to obtain a Medium Rigid Drivers licence
- Experience developing and implementing L&D programs for professional staff.
- Certificate III in Driving Operations (TLI31216) is desirable or a willingness to complete this training with us.
- Demonstrated experience as a Trainer with a proven ability to deliver effective training packages to a diverse range of people.
- Experience facilitating both face-to-face and online training sessions.
- Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with team members and stakeholders in person by phone and via email.
